Acoustics

Overview

LA Vocal Booths are available with 2 acoustic packages: Basic, Standard, and Premium.

Each package determines what interior acoustic treatment is included with the booth. The main difference is whether the booth includes no acoustics, pyramid foam, or sound panels.

Standard: Includes 3" pyramid foam.
Premium: Includes 3" sound panels.

This page compares each acoustic package so you can choose the interior treatment option that works best for your booth.

Important Notes

Acoustic treatment and sound isolation are different. Acoustic treatment helps manage the sound inside the booth. Sound isolation is handled by the booth model, wall construction, door, window, ventilation setup, and installation conditions.

Acoustic Treatment: Helps improve the sound environment inside the booth.
Sound Isolation: Determined by booth construction and setup.
Coverage: Acoustic quantities vary based on booth size.
Use Case: Recommended for recording vocals, voiceover, podcasts, content creation, and studio use.

Acoustic ratings help compare how materials absorb or manage sound. These ratings describe the acoustic material itself and should not be confused with full booth sound isolation performance.

NRC: Noise Reduction Coefficient. A general rating used to describe sound absorption performance.
SAA: Sound Absorption Average. A rating used to describe average absorption across tested frequencies.
STC: Sound Transmission Class. A rating used to describe sound transmission reduction through a material or assembly.
